Because of the nature of the business, there are a lot of paid survey sites that are a scam. There are several ways to spot a survey site scam; here are some of them. Firstly, make sure you don't have to pay any money upfront to complete the surveys or for access to their lists – most of these lists are available for free online so don't bother paying for them.

There are some sites that provide comprehensive lists of offline and offline resources; these are probably the only ones worth paying for. Also, make sure that the paid survey company is reputable, do a google search for their name and make sure there is no negative feedback about them; make sure they have a street address and telephone number, and take a look online to see if other people have been paid.
